HobDrive functions as an advanced Trip Computer and OBD2 diagnostic application, designed to provide comprehensive vehicle data analysis through integration with various hardware interfaces.

The software utilizes your Vehicle Adapter and GPS sensors to gather and synthesize trip information, supporting a range of connection types, including ELM327-based Bluetooth 4 LE, WiFi, Carista, OBDMax, and VieCar. It should be noted that not all vehicles are compatible with ELM327 or OBD2 standards; users are encouraged to consult the compatibility list at http://hobdrive.com/faq/obd2vehicles.html.

Vehicle sensors (requiring an ELM327 adapter) include capabilities such as:

• Support for standard OBD2 PIDs
• Custom PIDs for specific models including Toyota Prius, Ford Hybrid, Chevrolet, Toyota JDM, Mazda
• Support for non-OBD2 protocols such as Delphi MR240 (Chevrolet), Delphi MT20U (Chinese vehicles like Tiggo), Micas, Bosch, Yanvar, Alfa-Romeo, Fiat ECUs, Mitso iMIEV
• Full support for dual-fuel engines operating on gasoline and natural gas

The application offers enhanced engine diagnostics features such as:

• Continuous monitoring and logging of engine codes with in-trip alerts
• Explanation of MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) codes

Note: HobDrive may utilize GPS data to record trips visually. Prolonged use of GPS in background mode can significantly reduce device battery life.
