HobDrive functions as an advanced Trip Computer and OBD2 diagnostic application, designed to provide comprehensive vehicle data analysis through integration with various hardware interfaces.

The software utilizes your Vehicle Adapter and GPS sensors to gather and synthesize trip information, supporting a range of connection types, including ELM327-based Bluetooth 4 LE, WiFi, Carista, OBDMax, and VieCar. Vehicle sensors (requiring an ELM327 adapter) include capabilities such as:

<li>Support for standard OBD2 PIDs</li>
<li>Custom PIDs for specific models including Toyota Prius, Ford Hybrid, Chevrolet, Toyota JDM, Mazda</li>
<li>Support for non-OBD2 protocols such as Delphi MR240 (Chevrolet), Delphi MT20U (Chinese vehicles like Tiggo), Micas, Bosch, Yanvar, Alfa-Romeo, Fiat ECUs, Mitso iMIEV</li>

The application offers enhanced engine diagnostics features such as:

<li>Continuous monitoring and logging of engine codes with in-trip alerts</li>

The trip computer module enables users to view metrics including:

<li>Total trip fuel efficiency (MPG), MPG during engine warm-up, and MPG excluding idling or traffic jams</li>

Performance measurement tools available in both GPS and ELM327 modes encompass:

<li>Zer- to hundred-kilometers acceleration time</li>

<li>Horsepower and torque calculations based on sensor data</li>

The software supports hybrid vehicle diagnostics, featuring:

<li>Custom sensors tailored for Toyota hybrid models and Ford Escape Hybrid</li>
<li>Calculation of real engine MPG excluding battery assistance</li>

Trip planning functionalities include:

<li>Estimated remaining time and distance based on current fuel levels</li>
<li>Recording fueling events and calculating MPG from these records</li>
<li>Maximum and average speed tracking during trips</li>

The application can calculate MPG employing various methodologies suitable for different vehicle types, such as:

Note: HobDrive may utilize GPS data to record trips visually. Prolonged use of GPS in background mode can significantly reduce device battery life. Please contact support if you experience connectivity issues with your ELM327 adapter or vehicle compatibility; many cases require custom settings that our team is happy to assist with.

The full suite of HobDrive features is available for 30 days post-installation. After this trial period, users should decide whether to purchase a license or cease usage. During the trial, manufacturer-specific MIL code readings are restricted.
